Dr. Cassidy Schuff
Veterinarian, Practice Manager
Dr. Cassidy grew up in Racine, WI, and received her bachelor’s degree at the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point. She graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018.
She has always loved animals from an early age and wanted to be a wildlife conservationist for a long time but then discovered that she loved medicine and was able to combine her two loves into one profession. Her favorite thing about veterinary medicine is that every day presents a new challenge and a chance to learn something new.
Earlier in her career, she worked at a dermatology clinic while attending vet school. It’s because of this she has a special interest in skin diseases and allergies. Other on-the-job passions include performing and interpreting ultrasounds.
Outside of work she is the proud mother of two children and two Shelties.
Dr. Jared Schuff
Veterinarian, Owner
Dr. Jared Schuff joined us in 2018. He has lived in Woodruff WI since he was 1 year old so considers himself a local boy. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point, where he met his wife Cassidy, and then attended the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. He has always had a passion for medicine and for animals, having had a plethora of them growing up; from birds, dogs, and cats, to horses.
He enjoys the variety being a veterinarian provides and likes that every day you see something new and different. Being able to help and guide pet owners and provide excellent care for their beloved pets is very rewarding. He has an interest in orthopedic surgery and advanced training in veterinary dentistry.
In his free time, he enjoys all outdoor activities including fishing, hiking, camping, snowboarding, skiing, and volleyball.
Angie, CVT
Veterinary Technician
Angie has been with Schuff Veterinary Hospital since 2021. She graduated from Madison Area Technical College Veterinary Technician program in 2018. She was born and raised in the Lakeland area, then lived in Lake Mills, Wisconsin for several years working in veterinary medicine. She receives satisfaction and happiness from working with Veterinarians to provide quality and loving care for all animals. As well as meeting and creating relationships with new furry friends and their owners every day.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family doing all things outdoors.
Janell
Veterinary Assistant
Janell has been with Schuff Veterinary Hospital since 1991! She grew up on a cattle ranch in western Nebraska and moved to Minocqua, WI in 1990. Janell plays a pivotal role in the practice as she is dedicated to enriching pet owner’s experiences and deeply passionate about taking care of all animals. From potty training to assisting during surgeries; no task is more important than the other to Janell! Together with her husband Ron, they share three children, all of whom are grown and have their own families now. They are proud grandparents to three grandkids, and four grand dogs, and one grand cat. They are pet parents to several rescues, two dogs, and three cats. They are supporters of the Wisconsin Westie Rescue and have had up to 6 dogs at a time, all adopted, mostly from the hospital. All of their pets have added a great deal to their lives.
In her free time, she enjoys working in her garden, tending to flowers, and vegetables.
Maddie
Veterinary Assistant
Maddie started with Schuff Veterinary Hospital in June of 2024. She is starting school with Penn Foster to become a Veterinary Technician. She was born and raised in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, later she moved to Alaska and Montana to race and train sled dogs. Maddie now lives here, in Woodruff, with her dog, Freya. She loves working in veterinary medicine, meeting all the clients and their pets, learning from the doctors and technicians around her, and meeting all the English Cream Golden Retrievers that come in. There is no greater feeling than watching a healthy pet walk out the front door for Maddie. Maddie cannot wait to meet all of you and establish relationships with your fur kids! In her free time she loves to crochet, play guitar, read, hike, work with sled dogs, and run with her dog, Freya.
Heidi
Office Manager
Heidi has been with us since 2005. A“transplant” that moved to the area in 1975 with her parents. She graduated from Lakeland Union High School in 1983. She has always been an animal lover. Her favorite thing about working with them is each day is different. Each pet has its own unique qualities and they are all special to her. Knowing she’s part of caring team that has their well-being in mind is very rewarding. She married a“local” boy in 1987, together they have two children who are now grown. She has one grandchild. Her passion is cooking as her father was a Chef and her mother was just as talented. She spent a lot of time in the kitchen learning from him. In her free time, Heidi enjoys cooking and trying new recipes. But her family time is what she enjoys most.
Susie
Receptionist/Veterinary Assistant
Susie joined our practice in 2021 coming to us with 8 years of experience. Six of those she spent working as a veterinary assistant. She grew up in several areas of Southern Wisconsin before settling down in the Northwoods with her husband and three children who are all grown. She developed a fascination with veterinary medicine due to her experience running a hobby farm for the better part of 20 years. She’s always had a heart for helping all types of animals! Aside from livestock, cats, and dogs, she also has experience in the care and handling of reptiles, birds, and small mammals (guinea pigs, chinchillas, etc). She is passionate about her job because it allows her to combine her love for science and animals while also benefiting and enriching both the pet’s and their owner’s lives.
In her free time, she loves to travel, hike, kayaking, mountain climbing, biking, beekeeping, and gardening. She is most happy when she gets to be outdoors.
